![]() Understanding How Users Interact with Products A major razor company contacted PPS looking for a way to upgrade their product design process from qualitative analyses and subjective design tastes to a quantifiable, engineered approach more directly tied to actual device performance. Our client was interested in how users interacted with their product, so PPS developed a custom instrumentation solution based on our ConTacts technology. The customer provided PPS with a map of where they wished to know grasp information on the handle of their razor. PPS provided an object-oriented solution as well as a human-oriented solution. First PPS took the grasp requirements and built custom-shaped ConTacts pads, using them to cover the handle surface. In addition, PPS delivered a set of Fingertip Tactile pads to be used in instrumenting the user's hand. " is showing some very nice results... The Presentation went extremely well." - R&D Manager of a leading razor blade manufacturer Check out the following clip for an overview of our ConTacts sensors:
