Dynamic Measurements Under Real World Operating Procedures

When a major manufacturing firm wanted to dynamically measure the pressure exerted on brake pads during use they turned to PPS.  PPS’s Industrial TactArray Sensors, capable of measuring pressures up to 2000 psi at temperatures up 200C, were a perfect solution.

PPS engineers designed an industrial sensor array matching the shape requirements presented by the brake-pad assembly and designed the visualization software to match that same shape. Using the standard T2000 signal conditioning electronics PPS provided a simple and elegant solution.

PPS continues to push the boundary in brake pad measurement. We recently delivered a break-through sensor, embedded within the brake-pad, that was able to measure the pressure profile inside the pad while in use.
